Privacy policy
Updated 29 October 2026. Covers the deviok.com website and the DeviOK app (Windows, macOS).
1. Who handles your data
DeviOK is operated by [TO FILL: legal entity, registration number, address]. Data protection contact: [TO FILL: contact email].
2. Checks run on your device
The app reads device information (battery, storage, specs, locks, error logs) and keeps results on your device. It never reads photos, contacts or documents, and sends nothing unless you press a button. The in-browser quick check sends nothing to our servers.
3. When data leaves your device
- Sharing a report: the report (serial partly hidden) is stored for 7 days so the link works, then deleted.
- Remote check: the request code and the note you type, stored for 7 days, then deleted.
- AI assistant: device measurements (no serial), your question and any listing you paste are sent to Anthropic (USA) to answer. We only store a monthly usage count per random app install ID.
- Buying Pro: your email and order code; when you pay by bank transfer, the transaction (amount, description) arrives via SePay to activate Pro. Kept for the period required for accounting records.
- Network speed test, app updates: the app connects to speed.cloudflare.com and dl.deviok.com; no personal data is sent.
To prevent abuse we store a hash of your IP address (rotated daily, not reversible) and the approximate country provided by Cloudflare.
4. Where
Cloudflare infrastructure (D1 database); servers may be outside Vietnam. The website uses no advertising cookies. To know how many people visit and download the app, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics (no cookies, no tracking of individuals) and count download clicks (platform, page and referring source, no IP addresses stored). We never sell your data or use it for advertising.
5. Old waitlist
The website no longer takes sign-ups. Emails collected earlier are used only for launch news and are deleted on request or 12 months after DeviOK is available on all platforms.
6. Your rights
You can access, correct or delete your data and withdraw consent at any time by emailing the address in section 1. To delete reports on your device: open the app › Settings.
